Terms of Service

Plain-language information about how NoBrainner handles study data, deck uploads, automatic language selection, sharing, cookies, and support.

Using NoBrainner

  • NoBrainner helps users import, create, share, and study flashcard decks with spaced repetition.
  • You are responsible for your account, uploaded content, shared links, and compliance with applicable laws and school/work rules.
  • Do not misuse the service, interfere with sync/storage systems, bypass access controls, or upload malware or harmful content.

AI Assistants & Remote MCP Server Usage

  • NoBrainner provides Model Context Protocol (MCP) endpoints allowing compatible AI tools to interact with your study data on your behalf.
  • You are responsible for managing access tokens, OAuth approvals, and third-party AI clients connected to your NoBrainner account.
  • Write actions (such as saving generated flashcard decks) require user confirmation inside your client session.
  • You may revoke AI assistant access tokens at any time through your account settings.

Your deck content

  • You keep the rights you have in your own deck content.
  • By uploading or creating decks, you give NoBrainner permission to process, store, prepare, transcode, sync, cache, and display that content as needed to run the service.
  • If you request generated audio or human voices, you allow NoBrainner and its service providers to process the necessary deck text to create and cache audio.
  • You must not upload or share decks unless you have the rights and permissions needed to use and distribute that material.

Shared and imported decks

  • If you share a deck, anyone with the link or code may be able to access, copy, import, or study the shared content.
  • NoBrainner is not responsible for content users choose to upload, import, or share.
  • You must not upload or share decks containing highly sensitive personal data, secrets, malware, illegal content, or content that violates another person's rights.
  • We may remove or restrict content or accounts when we believe they violate rights, privacy, safety, or these terms.

Third-party example content

  • Example phrases may include content from Tatoeba and its contributors. Tatoeba text sentences are generally licensed under Creative Commons Attribution, and audio may have different Creative Commons or contributor-specific license conditions.
  • NoBrainner stores and displays available Tatoeba attribution, sentence IDs, license metadata, and source references so example usage can be credited.
  • You are responsible for respecting third-party licenses if you copy, export, redistribute, modify, or otherwise reuse Tatoeba example sentences or audio outside normal in-app study.
  • Tatoeba terms are available at https://tatoeba.org/en/terms_of_use.

Subscriptions and payments

  • Pro subscriptions cost $5 per month and are billed in advance on a recurring basis.
  • Payment processing is handled securely by Stripe. By subscribing, you agree to the Stripe Terms of Service (https://stripe.com/legal/end-users) and Stripe Privacy Policy (https://stripe.com/privacy).
  • You can cancel your subscription at any time through the billing portal in your profile settings. Your Pro access will remain active until the end of your current billing period.

Learning results

  • NoBrainner provides study tools and scheduling, but we do not guarantee specific grades, fluency, exam results, or learning outcomes.
  • Spaced repetition recommendations are educational support, not professional advice.

Service changes

  • We may update features, limits, storage behavior, pricing, policies, or availability as the product evolves.
  • We may suspend or terminate accounts that abuse the service, create security risk, violate rights, or break these terms.
